nerve arising from the posterior aspect of S2-S3 anterior rami; pierces the sacrotuberous ligament, then emerges from the inferior border of gluteus maximus to supply overlying the inferomedial portion of the muscle.

perforating cutaneous nerve

a nerve that originates in the sacral plexus and penetrates directly through the sacrotuberous ligament to course to the skin over the inferior aspect of the buttocks.
