a polysulfate derivative of a xylose-containing, glucuronate-substituted pentosan, with an average molecular weight between 4000 and 6000 Da, and having fibrinolytic and anticoagulant actions. It is used as an antiinflammatory in the treatment of interstitial cystitis; it is administered orally.
