the highest concentration, usually in the blood, that a substance reaches during the period under consideration, after which it declines, such as the highest blood glucose level attained during a glucose tolerance test.

In the past, cases have stayed at peak levels for a week or so and then started dropping.
The report says that prices in the city's real estate market have fallen 50 percent since their peak levels in 2008, and currently, buyers are refraining from renting or selling their units because they are waiting for some improvement in the market prices.
