n.pl the two skull bones located between the frontal and occipital bones and which form the top and sides of the cranium.

In anatomy, it describes the point of the skull where the parietal bones and occipital bones come together, while in photography Lambda refers to digital type "C" print and the equipment used to produce it.
A lateral view showed the location of these cysts to be in the anterior portion of the parietal bones (Figure 2).
