parenchyma of prostate,

glandular substance consisting of small compound tubulosaccular or tubuloalveolar glands that makes up the bulk of the prostate. It is surrounded by muscular substance and permeated by muscular strands.

parenchyma [pah-reng´kĭ-mah]
