paraphrenia
[-frē′nē·ə]
a psychiatric condition that is primary to an affective illness or organic mental disorder. Gross disturbances of affect, volition, and function, which are characteristic of schizophrenia, are not prominent, but paranoid delusions and hallucinations are always present.
