papilloma /pap·il·lo·ma/ (pap″il-o´mah) a benign tumor derived from epithelium.papillo´matous
fibroepithelial papilloma  a type containing extensive fibrous tissue.
intracanalicular papilloma  an arborizing nonmalignant growth within the ducts of certain glands, particularly of the breast.
intraductal papilloma  a tumor in a lactiferous duct, usually attached to the wall by a stalk; it may be solitary, often with a serous or bloody nipple discharge, or multiple.
inverted papilloma  one in which the proliferating epithelial cells invaginate into the underlying stroma.

A benign epithelial tumor projecting from the surrounding surface. Also called papillary tumor, villoma.

Papilloma
A benign growth on the skin or mucous membrane. Viruses that cause these growths are called human papillomaviruses (HPVs).

a benign epithelial neoplasm characterized by a branching or lobular tumor. Also called papillary tumor.

n an exophytic, pedunculated, cauliflower-like benign neoplasm of epithelium, often having a “warty appearance.”

n a type of papilloma, or benign tumor of the skin or oral mucosa. Usually associated with infection by the human papilloma virus (HPV).

papilloma
the common wart. A benign tumor derived from epithelium, which may arise from skin, conjunctiva, mucous membranes or glandular ducts. Varies from keratinized, to fibrovascular, squamous. Caused by a species-specific papillomavirus. See also papillomavirus.

cutaneous papilloma
the common form; distinguishable from papilloma of the esophageal groove and reticulum, bladder.
fibrovascular papilloma
single or multiple, small, benign fibrovascular skin tumors, that occur occasionally on the extremities or ventral thorax of dogs. Called also skin tag, keratin tag, soft fibroma.
plexus papilloma
a rare tumor of the choroid plexus, often causing an internal hydrocephalus.

papilloma 
A tumour most commonly found on the conjunctiva, the limbus or the lid margins. It is usually benign. It should be excised but it is likely to recur.

Q. Should I Vaccinate My Daughter Against HPV? I have a 12 year old daughter. Her School wants all the girls aged 12 and up to be vaccinated against HPV. A lot of Parents are against this vaccine. I want to know more about this vaccine and if I should vaccinate my daughter.
