PACE
[pās] abbreviation for Program of All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly. pace an equine gait similar to a trot except that the front and rear limbs on each side are moved in unison instead of the diagonal limbs. A comfortable even gait for the rider, producing an even speed for the duration of a race. Similar to the amble gait but at a fast speed. Many pacing horses are raced and trained in harness.
