A cranial bone consisting of a vertical portion corresponding to the forehead and a horizontal portion that forms the roofs of the orbital and nasal cavities.

frontal bone,
n portion of the skull composed of two parts: the squama, or vertical piece, which forms the forehead, and the horizontal portion, which forms spaces for the eyes and nasal passages.
