A behavioral disorder in which an individual, usually between the ages of 3 and 18, exhibits a persistent pattern of disobedient and intentionally provocative opposition to authority figures. It is characterized by consistently negativistic behaviors such as temper tantrums, violation of rules, argumentativeness, and dawdling.
