Etymology: Gk, oligos, little, haima, blood
a condition of hypovolemia or reduced circulating intravascular volume. Also spelled oligaemia.

oligemia
deficiency in volume of the blood. Estimation of the degree of oligemia, the severity of dehydration, is a vital assessment in many diseases of animals. See packed cell volume, dehydration.
