obstructive biliary cirrhosis

Etymology: L, obstruere, to build against, bilis, bile; Gk, kirrhos, yellow-orange, osis, condition
a form of secondary cirrhosis in which a stricture develops in the bile ducts. The condition may develop after cholecystectomy, gallstones, or a tumor.

obstructive biliary cirrhosis

Cirrhosis resulting from obstruction of the common duct by a stone or tumor.
