objective tinnitus,
a noise produced in the ear that can be heard by another person, particularly someone using a stethoscope. See also tinnitus.

tinnitus
a noise in the ears, as ringing, buzzing or roaring.

objective tinnitus
one heard by others than the patient; reported in dogs and horses.
subjective tinnitus
one heard only by the patient; difficult to determine in animals.
