Although the average time spent in bed was 8 hours, only 67% of that time was spent sleeping, and nonrapid eye movement sleep made up 87% of the total sleep time.
Wetting episodes occur in all stages of nonrapid eye movement (NREM) sleep and the probability of their occurrence appears to be a function of the amount of time spent in each stage.
