marsh mallowHerbal medicine
A perennial herb that contains asparagin, mucilage and tannins; it is a mild diuretic and expectorant. Marsh mallow is used internally for inflammation and upper GI ulcers, to soothe the respiratory and urinary tracts, and for UTIs and kidney stones; it is used topically for abscesses, burns, cuts, ulcers, varicose veins, oral infections and inflammation.
