mon·o·pha·sic

(mon'ō-fā'zik),
1. Marked by monophasia.
2. Occurring in or characterized by only one phase or stage.
3. Fluctuating from the baseline in one direction only.
4. Cellular structure with a single morphologic pattern. Often used to describe synovial sarcoma, which is typically biphasic but it lacks glandular areas, which is consistent with the monophasic variant.
