Richard has counselled clients who were debilitated to such an extent from the trauma of being mobbed that they were forced to rely on their partners to literally spoon-feed them during the initial months of recovery.
According to Hirigoyen (2005), the situation is aggravated in many cases because the mobbed persons end up leaving the job (being fired or resigning) and take with them the trauma of the violence experienced, which often becomes an obstacle in the search for a new job.
