n a deviation from duty by one employed in a professional capacity; a transgression of an established rule.
misconduct conduct as a professional person which brings sufficient discredit to the profession to damage its reputation and decrease the trust that the public places in it. Personal morality, social behavior, language and dress are all criteria that need to be included in any assessment, but they must be judged in the light of the prevailing community standards of the day.
