an herb that is native to Europe and is now grown widely throughout the United States and Canada.
uses It is used as a flavoring and medicinally for GI disorders. Peppermint oil may exert beneficial effects in irritable bowel syndrome.
contraindications Mint should not be used during pregnancy and lactation, in children, or in those with known hypersensitivity to this herb or gastroesophageal reflux disease.
