An increased concentration of gamma globulins in the plasma, such as is frequently observed in chronic infectious diseases.

hypergammaglobulinemia (hī´pur-gam´glob´ūlinē´mē),
n an excess of gammaglobulin in the blood. It occurs in chronic granulomatous inflammations, chronic bacterial infections, liver disease, multiple myeloma, lymphomas, and dysproteinemias.
