mild

Etymology: AS, milde, soft
gentle, subtle, or of low intensity, such as a mild infection.

proteinuria

Nephrology The excretion of excessive (> 5 mg/dL) protein in the urine; normally, about 150 mg/day of protein is lost in the urine,13 is albumin,13 is Tamm-Horsfall glycoprotein; the rest is divided among actively secreted proteins–eg, retinol binding proteins, β2-microglobulin, Ig light chains and lysozyme; in absence of disease, large proteins are retained due to their size, while the smaller proteins are actively resorbed; proteinuria is most often caused by kidney disease, due to glomerular defects, and defective renal tubular resorption, and most often detected by screening with reagent strip–dipstick. See Functional proteinuria, Overflow proteinuria.
Proteinuria, severity
Severe ≥ 1.0 g/dL, due to glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, lupus nephritis, amyloidosis
Moderate ≥ 0.2 g/dL, ≤ 1.0 g/dL, due to CHF, drugs, acute infections, myeloma, chemical toxins
Mild 0.05-0.2 g/dL, due to polycystic kidneys, pyelonephritis, renal tubular defects
Proteinuria, patterns
Glomerular pattern Due to a loss of fixed negative charge on the glomerular capillary wall, allowing albumin and other large (≥ 68 kD) molecules to leak into Bowman's space–eg, in glomerulonephritis and nephrotic syndrome Lab ↓ albumin, antithrombin, transferrin, prealbumin, α1-acid glycoprotein, α1-antitrypsin
Hemodynamic pattern Due to rheostatic changes in the body, causing a loss of 20 to 68 kD molecules, seen in transient proteinuria, CHF, fever, seizures, excess exercise.
Overflow pattern Due to tissue/cell destruction that overwhelms renal capacity to excrete certain proteins–eg, Bence-Jones proteinuria and myoglobinuria
Tubular pattern Due to renal tubular dysfunction with loss of normally filtered low molecular weight (≤ 40 kD) molecules Lab ↓ β2-microglobulin and lysozyme–eg, Fanconi syndrome, Wilson's disease, interstitial nephritis, antibiotic-induced injury and heavy metal intoxication

as in disease; does not interfere with normal activities such as grazing, ambulation.

Q. What are some natural remedies that work for mild depression? I was diagnosed with mild depression and my doctor prescribed me some meds. But I am upset and I do not want to take the prescribed meds. I feel I am strong and I have seen people suffer with depression. I have the confidence that I can overcome it and I am upset that it may ruin my confidence. I am not sure whether the meds would help me but I know they help some people. However I strictly want to try some natural remedies. What are some natural remedies that work for mild depression?

A. Hello. Good that you have the required confidence to overcome the issue and please do not lose momentum. Maybe your thinking is correct and if you maintain your confidence, I think you can overcome mild depression. However I would not recommend ignoring the doctor as you need to understand that they have diagnosed you with the depression. Maybe before taking any meds, I recommend you to try with basic meditation! I had a mild depression like you, it was cured with the help of yoga and I did not take any meds at all. Or try with some therapy like acupuncture before starting meds. I feel that those might work for you. You need not feel upset as it is very much curable.

Q. how do you deal with a mild case of acid reflux

A. You can start with life style changes: if you have symptoms during the night, you can try to elevate the head of your bed. You can try to avoid foods that induce reflux: fatty foods, chocolate, peppermint, and excessive alcohol. Cola, red wine, and orange juice are very acidic, so it would be wise to avoid them too, In addition to these, you can try to use a diary to reveal which kind of food causes symptoms and avoid it.

Try to refrain from lying down immediately after a meal, or eating just before bedtime. Overweight is a risk factor for reflux, so if it's relevant weight reduction is also recommended.

If you feel heartburn, you may chew in order to increase salivation and thus alleviate the symptoms. Smoking has a negative effect on salivation, so smoking cessation is also recommended.

And that's before we even mentioned OTC drugs...

Q. what is the difference between two. which is mild one( aspergers syndrome and autism)

A. Asperger disorder is indeed the milder disorder on the autistic spectrum of disorders. It is a condition in which the child is markedly impaired in social relatedness and shows repetitive and stereotyped patterns of behavior without a delay in language development or mental retardation. In contrast, autism is characterized by problems with language and social skills, repetitive behavior, as well as mental retardation in many cases.
