the technique of using an ophthalmoscope to examine the eye. Also called fundoscopy, funduscopy. See also fundus microscopy.

examination of the eye by means of the ophthalmoscope. In animals the procedure presents difficulties because of the need for restraint. For best results requires darkness, pupil dilatation, absence of distraction, minimum of restraint. See also ophthalmoscope.
