methemoglobin in the urine. Urine containing a high concentration of hemoglobin from an intravascular hemolysis may also contain large amounts of methemoglobin.

inherited methemoglobinuria
congenital defect recorded in horses, characterized by pale mucosae, hemic heart murmur, decreased exercise tolerance, hemolytic anemia. Rare and unproven as an inherited defect.
