A. It is the INR or International Normalized Ratio. It is essential a measurement of how thin your blood is from taking the warfarin. Depending on why you are taking the warfarin the number is usually supposed to be between 2-3.5. I hope this helps.

Q. How can diabetes effect the eye sight? Does it or the medication taken for diabetes correct eye sight? A friend have been wearing glasses for 12 years after being hospitalized for 5 days and given insulin and released his eye sight became blurring while wearing his glass the third day he was home. When he took his glasses off he saw clearly.

A. Diabetes can affect your eyesight and if your friend was recently put on meds for diabetes the meds can affect your vision temporarily. I would wait a few days and their vision should be back to normal in about a week or so if not then he they need to make an appointment with his eye doctor. Also diabetics should have their vision check every 6 months.

Q. Is it true chinese medicines are effective as if not more than the medical medicines?

A. the common perception is that Chines medicine is supposed to help you prevent illnesses and help you deal with chronic ones. and western medicine is here to treat urgent matters and illnesses that occurred. but it's hard to say...because there's little information about the effectiveness of Chines medicine. but that doesn't mean it's not helpful.
