As some of you already know, I use at the moment and since 3 months no medications anymore, but I told you also, that I have at home my little pharmacy for "just in case". Two days ago I slept not at all during the whole night. There was an emergency case from USA - a member from another topic. The dear lady was in panic, it seemed so during the chat. So I called her and she was thankful 12h later. Today I had a little panic-attack too. I have an urgent letter to write and also a document to prepare. In fact I would be able to do both things in the same time and so my body starts to feel a stress. My heart feels like a very hot big potato, my head is warm too and I can't concentrate me for just one subject. What have I done today to fix that? A. I hope you are feeling better. My life is hectic now with fibromyalgia, It started with the pain and turned to irritation and loss of confidence and I became helpless now in the sense like any one can come and pin me the way they want. I am not able to lead a healthy life which I have always dreamt of. I have tried all possible options that hit my mind….but the condition remains same and with medicines there are some other side effects too. ……. My doctor keeps reminding me the terrible thing about fibro is it affects everyone different so we have to do the trail and error "thing". I have osteoartritis, degenerative disc disease to so i have to factor those into the things I try. A lot of people soak in hot water...I can't I can't handle extreme temps, hot or cold...feels like needles shooting through me. I take tramadol everyday but have stronger meds for when it is the worse( I try to avoid those as much as possible) they have began muscle relaxers and they have made a difference...I still hurt and am stiff but at least I can manage to move. I rest when I need to...I don't push myself b/c if I do I have found it makes the next day even worse.Luckily I have great family support now, having support and someone to talk to for me has helped a lot.Try to do a little everyday...set small achaivable goals! Q. I need some advice on how to manage fibromyalgia? My elder brother is diagnosed with fibromyalgia. He was complaining of excess pain in belly area and headache with disturbed stomach. This made him depressed. His performance at work also declined to a considerable level. His muscles are too tight and this can be felt when touched. After the diagnosis for about a year he is now confirmed as having fibromyalgia. I need some advice on how to manage fibromyalgia?
