arterial circle of the iris, majorĀ A vascular circle located in the anterior part of the ciliary body near the root of the iris. It is formed by the anastomosis of the two long posterior ciliary arteries and the seven anterior ciliary arteries. It supplies the iris, the ciliary processes and the anterior choroid.
