Feed has to be dry and comminuted so that it will run down the spouts from the hopper into the troughs. magnetic feeder a self-feeding device in which a feed hopper is triggered to deliver a particular quantity of feed depending on the signal received from a transponder worn by an individual cow. The feeders are normally closed and will open only for cows carrying the transponder, and deliver either a set amount of feed to all cows or an amount specified in the particular cow's signal. |
