lymphogranulomatosis

Etymology: L, lympha, water, granulum, small grain + Gk, oma, tumor, osis, condition

an infectious granuloma of the lymphatic system. The term is used to identify several inflammatory, granulomatous or sarcomatous disorders, such as Hodgkin's disease, lymphadenoma, lymphadenoma venereum, and sarcoidosis.
