Byline: ANI Washington, Jan 31 (ANI): Researchers have revealed that by measuring the lower uterine segment (LUS) thickness, doctors can predict uterine scar defects in women who had previous caesarean deliveries, and anticipate which patients are at risk for subsequent uterine rupture if they have a trial of labour.
The transverse incision was present in the posterior wall of the lower uterine segment.
[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] Transmural extension through the wall of the right lower uterine segment and invasion of the upper endocervix were confirmed.
