Much smaller creatures can be hand-fed at Lorikeet Landing, a leafy aviary that is home to resplendent birds from the rain forests of New Guinea and Australia.
Specific species of Psittaciformes include keas, cockatoos, cockatiels, lories, lorikeets, parrotlets, parakeets, budgerigars, rosellas, conures, lovebirds, maazons, and macaws.
The permanent exhibit marks the completion of the aquarium's Explorers Cove, which opened last September with Lorikeet Forest, an interactive bird feeding attraction.
