A portable heart rhythm monitor worn by a patient to determine the cause of palpitations or loss of consciousness. The monitor attaches to the skin of the chest with monitoring electrodes. When a patient experiences symptoms, he or she presses a button on the monitor to record a rhythm strip for analysis.
