loin pain-hematuria syndrome,
a syndrome of intense loin pain, either unilateral or bilateral, lasting from a few days to weeks, followed by hematuria, usually seen in young women; the cause is unknown, but some cases have been linked to treatment with estrogen compounds.

A benign, rare condition characterized by recurring episodes of uni– or bilateral loin pain–which may be severe enough to require denervation or autotransplantation accompanied by hematuria of unknown origin; it is more common in ♀ and may be related to hormonal factors–eg, OC use, or due to defects in renal vasculature  Clinical Episodic gross hematuria, pelvic pain, mild HTN that resolves with D/C of OCs
