6) Coating, n -- a liquid, liquifiable, or mastic composition that is converted by evaporation, polymerization, or cooling to a solid or semisolid protective, decorative, or functional adherent film after application.
By the simplest definition, paints are "any pigmented liquid, liquifiable, or mastic composition designed for application to a substrate as a thin layer which is converted to an opaque solid film after application.
Liquifiable assets include $970,000 in cash, money market, bonds, debentures and 'blue chip' securities, as at March 31, 2000.
