xan·tho·ma·to·sis

(zan'thō-mă-tō'sis),
Widespread xanthomas, especially on the elbows and knees, that sometimes affect mucous membranes and are sometimes associated with metabolic disturbances.

lipid granulomatosis

A generic term for a condition histologically defined by the presence of lipid granulomas, which may include:
(1) Xanthomatosis; 
(2) Farber’s disease (lipogranulomatosis);
(3) Panniculitis of Rothman-Makai;
(4) Langerhans cell histiocytosis.
