one of a number of ligaments encircling various parts; the principal anular ligaments are those of the stapes, radius, and trachea. See: anular ligament of radius, anular ligament of stapes, anular ligaments of trachea.
a ligament that encircles the head of the radius and holds it in the radial notch of the ulna. Distal to the notch, the anular ligament forms a complete fibrous ring. Also spelled annular ligament.
