learning-disabled adult

    0.01 sec.
learning-disabled adult,
an adult with a nonspecific difficulty in the learning process, commonly resulting from developmental lag rather than brain damage or demonstrable illness. Research into adult learning disabilities indicates that, as among children, the disability may be expressed throughout the total personality: cognitively, perceptually, and emotionally. Functional difficulties persist, but in adulthood they are expressed in vocational adjustment, work management, and social and family interactions.
