the surgical removal of the uterus and ovaries through a small incision in the abdominal wall.

laparohystero-oophorectomy

(1) Total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy. In practice, removal of internal female organs almost invariably includes the allopian tubes; thus abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.
