Piper methysticum; parts used: rhizomes, roots; uses: anxiolytic, antiepileptic, antidepressant, muscle relaxant, analgesia, insomnia, alcohol dependency; precautions: children, pregnancy, lactation; patients with depression, pulmonary hypertension, Parkinson's disease; liver disease, or kidney disease; patients who drink alcohol.
