lynx
medium-sized wild cats in the family Felidae, with characteristically short tails and tufted ears. They are generally spotted and of a rufous hue, though there are plain and fawn (bay lynx) varieties. Well known species are Lynx (Felis) canadensis, L. (Felis) lynx and L. (Felis) rufus. A related species is Caracal caracal (syn. Lynx caracal).

Aside from the Royal Bengali Tiger, there are also some animals present in the area including fishing cats, wild boars, macaques, foxes and jungle cats as well as common grey mongoose, chital and flying foxes as well as pangolins.
The Jim Corbett Park is home to tigers, leopards, jungle cat, fishing cat, Himalayan Palm civet, tuskers, crocodiles, gharials and Asian elephants.
Still, the poor old A-listers don't feel safe knowing that a jungle cat could be in the trailer next to them so they're hopeful that a last-minute intervention from the authorities will veto the request.
