Q. Hi, I am worried about my daughter who has just joined her kinder garden but does not like going to school. Hi, I am worried about my daughter who has just joined her kinder garden but does not like going to school. I have observed that she is falling behind her home work and does not like to study at all. I do sit with her to make her understand the homework and in spite of my efforts; it seems that she does not understand at all. I spoke to her class teacher and it seems that when all other kids could read and write from 1 to 50, my child could manage only up to 1 to 20. After my talk with her class teacher, I have found that she constantly gets in to trouble for talking too much and trying to go to play and not listening to her class teacher. Even at home she yells at me when I ask her to complete her home work. When I again talk with her, she tells me sorry. I really feel sorry for her and would like to help her. Please advice.

A. I think you need to properly understand what your daughter is going through. Actually speaking the fact is that if you were being judged and compared every second of your school day and failing always then I am sure that you would hate school too. I hope you agree with me.
I am forced to put forth the above statement as I am a retired elementary school teacher and principal, I have seen that happen many times.

I hope you would have attended some parent conferences and the class teacher would have given you clear details on the concerns about your child. If she has not, I bet that you are dealing with an inexperienced teacher and I can blame the system of whole school and I am sure that they would be never able to help you at all.

To be honest, it all depends upon how effectively you would handle this situation. I think you need to analyze her and try to provide her the best and ensure that you make school better for her. Maybe you would need to test her and make her atte
