I suggest,you go for some pulmonary function testing to see how far gone your disease is,if you have a pulmonary doctor,ask him for a --spirometer to use at home,he will teach you how to use it.chronic bronchitis is almost exclusively a smokers disease,the method of its prevention seems to be obvious and can be summerized in two words--NO SMOKING-there are an increasing number of young individuals taking up this potentially lethal habit,,spread the word to the young people in your family.the most important phase of treatment of chronic bronchitis is -outpatient management- which should include measures to control the progression of the disease,maybe even to reverse pathological changes in your lungs,to control or at least alliviate the symtoms.,,,you should be instructed about proper bronchial hygiene by adequate hydration(water)humidification of inspired air,postural drainage,and other respiratory maneuvers.,,,keep trying to stop,because none of this will work if you dont...peace....
