pertaining to the tunica intima.
intimal pertaining to or emanating from vascular intima. intimal bodies irregular mineralized masses covered by endothelium and protruding into the lumen of small arteries and arterioles of horses, especially in the intestinal submucosa. intimal tracks aggregations of cellular debris, fibrin and inflammatory cells, especially eosinophils, in the form of tortuous tracks in the intima of arteries in horses; caused by migrating larvae of Strongylus vulgaris.
