11) Participants who were higher functioning had to demonstrate active wrist extension of at least 20 degrees and 10 degrees of active extension of the metacarpophalangeal joints and each interphalangeal joint of all digits.
The minimum motor criteria of patients who show benefit from CIMT include at least 20 degrees of wrist extension and 10 degrees of extension at each metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joint of the affected upper extremity.
The patient was able to actively extend his wrist more than 10 degrees and was able to actively extend the metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints of his thumb and at least 2 additional digits.
