in·ter·leu·kin-12

(in'tĕr-lū'kin),
A cytokine derived from B lymphocytes and macrophages that induces γ-interferon (IFNγ) gene expression and IL-2 in T lymphocytes and natural killer cells and down-regulates Th2 cytokines.

interleukin-12 (IL-12)

a protein produced by activated T cells that stimulates cell-mediated killing by natural killer cells and lymphocytes. It promotes the maturation of cytotoxic T cells.

(in'tĕr-lū'kin)
A cytokine derived from B lymphocytes, T lymphocytes, and macrophages that induces interferon-γ gene expression in T lymphocytes and natural killer cells.

interleukin-12

A CYTOKINE produced by T LYMPHOCYTES that inactivates natural killer cells.
