The treatment is in two phases: induction therapy and continuation/maintenance therapy.
Induction therapy that used antithymocyte globulin was administered for the first 3 days (Thymoglobuline, Genzyme Corporation, Naarden, the Netherlands).
One notable technique is called Collagen Induction Therapy.
