The present study shows that clinicians can use a flow chart that incorporates data from chest radiography, sputum tests for AFB, TB cultures, PCR, and TST to control TB outbreak in a community of "close contacts" to an index patient.
In our index patient, the potentially important medication interactions were between warfarin, rifampicin, efavirenz and ciprofloxacin.
