Bragg peaks from ground-and-polished alumina surfaces were investigated with 8 keV x rays at incidence angles from 0.
The sine of the incidence angle on the boundary surface of the measure crystal should be lower than the quotient of the refractive index sample/crystal (figure 4):
Currently available as a standard device is the SubWave IRCF ES22, with a 22nm edge shift for a change in incidence angle from 0(degree) to 30(degree), (greater than)93% average transmission from 420nm to 625nm, a cut-off dropping from (greater than)90% transmission to (less than)5% in less than 30nm centered around a half power point of 650nm +/- 10nm, and (less than)2% average transmission in the infrared from 675nm to 1000nm.
