The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said that the process of attaching feathers with glue - known as imping in falconry - had been used before to return injured birds of prey to flight.
Rehabilitation responsibilities included dusting, imping (replacing feathers), splinting, x-raying, performing surgery, treating injuries, shock, electrical bums, poisonings, infections and using incubators.
