The Defence Ministry ordered the immobilisation of all vehicles of the type involved in the accident which killed the 43-year-old father of two and injured five others.
The study adds: "Although immobilisation takes more time and occupies more space in busy rooms, the intervention will be economic in the long run as pregnant patients will not return in subsequent cycles.
This is built into the vehicle within the factory as the immobilisation part of the kit; the alarm is not connected to the original immobiliser in any way.
