Histopathologic studies showed moderate neuronal degeneration characterized by neuronal hyperchromatosis, chromatolysis, and satellitosis (Figure 2, panel A).
Histologic analysis suggested angiosarcoma of the liver (Figure 1); dense rows of tumorous cells (Figure 1A) can be seen near the areas of hemorrhage, and the vascular space of the tumor is lined with atypical endothelium, marked sarcomatous stroma, dense rows of tumorous cells with distinct polymorphism, and hyperchromatosis (Figure 1B).
